An open-source Python package for analysis and visualization of integrated-assessment scenarios
The open-source python package pyam provides a range of diagnostic tools and functions for analyzing and visualizing scenarios from your favorite integrated-assessment model(s). This group is used for announcements, discussions of feature requests and extensions, and as a helpdesk for new users. The pyam package was initiated by Matthew Gidden ( https://github.com/gidden ) and Daniel Huppmann ( https://github.com/danielhuppmann ) under the auspices of the Integrated Assessment Modeling Consortium (IAMC) ( http://www.globalchange.umd.edu/iamc/ ). The first applications using the package were in support of the IPCC's Special Report on Global Warming of 1.5°C ( SR15 ( https://www.ipcc.ch/sr15/ ) , see a suite of Jupyter notebooks on GitHub ( https://github.com/iiasa/ipcc_sr15_scenario_analysis ) ) and the Horizon 2020 CRESCENDO ( https://www.crescendoproject.eu ) project (cf.     The open-source Python package *pyam* provides a range of diagnostic tools and functions for analyzing and visualizing scenarios from your favorite integrated-assessment model(s). This subgroup is intended for user questions related to the integration of pyam with R , a free software environment for statistical computing and graphics ( link ( https://www.r-project.org ) ). The integration is implemented using the reticulate package ( https://rstudio.github.io/reticulate/ ) to call Python from your R session.
